MESSAGE FROM THE EDUCATION CO-ORDINATOR. This will be a busy year for all Guild members with Conference in Hawkes Bay, regional and local workshops, exhibitions and so on. We had some super exhibitions and displays last year and this shows the talent we have within our Guilds. Keep up the good work! I do hope you were able to see some of the pieces from the `Regalia' Exhibition, which showed many different interpretations on a theme. If you are hosting a Regional Day and would like a display from another region as a mini-exhibition, contact your Regional Rep or myself and we will arrange this for you. It is always great to see ideas and perhaps gain inspiration from other regions. The Travel Grant applications for this year close at the end of May. If you are planning to attend a course or are thinking of doing some more study, this may be for you. Contact me for the application forms. The update of the Tutors' Register is well underway and I hope to have this available shortly. I hope to have a section for tutors from other textile groups and overseas. If you do know of any possible tutors or would like to put your own name forward please let me know. Tutor Training Workshops have been arranged for this year. These two-day workshops are informative and, as always, we are eager to learn more ways and ideas. Lyn James is a fantastic tutor who has worked with ANZEG before. These classes are in Timaru, April 12 and 13, Auckland, April 19 and 20, and Palmerston North, May 24 and 25. Issue Three of the' Young Stitchers' newsletter will be out soon. Please advise me of any change of addresses - young people do like to receive their own personal mail. Encourage your junior embroiderers to send feedback and to enter our competitions. There are some neat prizes to give away. Feedback and ideas are always welcome - this always helps to better all parts of our Education programme.
Wendy Johnstone Education Co-ordinator.
