It has been a quiet but productive year.  Quiet because we are a small Guild and feel deeply the loss of four members during the year; productive because we have had some great schools and learnt new techniques.

We have had two great schools with outside tutors.  A Dye and Knot Picture with Marie Bezzant and the Pansy Bag with Felicity Willis.  Both schools were well attended and very creative.  We are justly proud of our completed masterpieces.

Numbers attending the monthly workdays have varied.  Here the evening group and the day group have the opportunity to meet and stitch together.  With videos from headquarters and members helping instruct a new skill, our Saturdays have been a time of sharing and fellowship.

We had two opportunities to display our work this year.  Our poppy hangings complimented the Museum's Maori Battalion exhibition and our display of small embroideries in the Age Concern Rooms was well received.

Quiet 2004 may have been but 2005 promises to be a very full and exciting year.  The committee have met and drawn up a calendar of monthly events that should keep our needles forever stitching.
